Treating Pet Arthritis

Some signs in dogs that they may be suffering from arthritis are:
* Not wanting to walk
* Less playful than usual
* Not keen to walk upstairs

Some signs in cats are:
* They stop grooming themselves because they can’t reach around
* They don’t go to the litterbox
* They don’t climb up on their perches anymore

Usually arthritis is seen between 6-7 years of age, although in larger dogs such as Great Danes it may be seen between 4-5 years.

Treatment options include the following:
* Keep your pets at their ideal body weight
